Insulated & Commercial Glass Replacement for NYC Contractors

General contractors and property managers running commercial and multi-family projects in NYC need a glazing partner who can hit a schedule, meet spec, and coordinate around every other trade on site. We work directly with GCs on insulated glass replacement, curtain wall repair, and interior glass partitions for commercial buildup. Here’s an overview of what we handle and what we need from you to keep a project moving.

Insulated Glass Replacement for Commercial Buildings

Insulated glass units (IGUs) are standard on most commercial facades for a reason: the sealed air or gas gap between panes cuts heating and cooling loss, which matters for NYC’s energy code compliance on renovation and buildout projects. We replace failed IGUs (look for fogging or condensation between panes, a sign the seal has failed), upgrade single-pane storefront or window openings to insulated units, and can spec low-E coatings or laminated safety glass where the project calls for it. See our insulated and specialty glass replacement page for the full range of glass types we fabricate.

Curtain Wall & Window Wall Repair

Curtain wall and window wall systems take a lot of NYC weather over their lifespan, and individual lites can fail, crack, or lose their seal long before the rest of the system needs replacing. We can source and install replacement glass to match existing curtain wall framing and glazing details, which is usually far faster and less expensive than a full system replacement. Full curtain wall and window wall retrofits are available where the project scope calls for it.

Interior Glass Partitions for Commercial Fit-Outs

On office and retail buildouts, glass partitions are one of the last trades to go in, and scheduling matters. We fabricate steel-look framed partitions, frameless glass walls, and frosted or fritted privacy glass to the buildout’s finish schedule, and can coordinate directly with your site super on sequencing so partitions go in without holding up flooring, electrical, or millwork crews behind us.

What We Need From Contractors to Keep a Project Moving

The faster we get accurate information up front, the faster glass shows up ready to install. That means final field measurements (or approved shop drawings if we’re working from plans), confirmed glass specs and any DOB or landlord approval requirements, site access details including freight elevator or crane scheduling, and a target install date so we can build fabrication lead time into the schedule. For commercial window and glazing packages, we’re happy to join a pre-construction call to review scope before glass is ordered.
