Project Overview
NYC All Glass installed full new window and storefront glass at the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building, 26 Federal Plaza, in Lower Manhattan. Ground-level entrance bays along the building’s black granite façade had been temporarily boarded with plywood, and the scope of work covered removing the damaged glazing and setting new storefront and window glass back into the existing frame system.
Storefront and Window Glass Replacement
Multiple glazed bays at the building’s entrance level were reglazed, working carefully around the security cameras, entrance signage, and heavy pedestrian traffic at a federal building that stays in continuous public use.
Clear Glass, Restored Views
With the new glass installed, upper-floor windows opened back up to unobstructed views across Lower Manhattan, including the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge — replacing the temporary boarded-up openings with clean, fully transparent glazing.
