Project Overview
NYC All Glass installed a complete new storefront system for the Dolce & Gabbana boutique, replacing the building’s street-level glazing with a modern, black metal-clad frame system and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The result is a fully transparent retail front that puts the collection on display from both intersecting streets, anchored by bronze-framed glass entrance doors that match the brand’s flagship-level finish standards.
A Corner Storefront Built for Full Visibility
Because the boutique sits on a building corner, the glazing was engineered to wrap the storefront around a precise mitered corner joint, keeping the sightline into the store uninterrupted from either street. Large-format tempered glass panels were set into a slim black frame system that reads as a continuous glass edge rather than a series of separate windows — the look luxury retail brands expect from a flagship location.
Frameless Glass Canopy Entrance
Above the entrance, NYC All Glass installed a frameless structural glass canopy on an engineered standoff mounting system. The canopy panels are bolted directly to the facade with minimal visible hardware, so there are no bulky support posts breaking up the storefront’s clean lines — a detail that keeps the entrance feeling as considered as the rest of the building.
