Koeppel Mazda Showroom Glass Railings — Queens, NY

NYC All Glass designed, fabricated, and installed a full interior glass railing system for the mezzanine staircase at Koeppel Mazda’s showroom in Queens. Frameless tempered glass panels replaced what would otherwise be a solid, view-blocking railing, keeping the vehicle display floor visible from every level of the showroom.

Open Sightlines for an Active Showroom Floor

Car dealership showrooms live or die on visibility. Koeppel Mazda’s two-level layout in Queens needed a railing system along the mezzanine staircase that met code without turning the upper level into a walled-off box. Solid balustrades or heavy metal spindles would have chopped up the sightlines to the vehicles on display below, exactly what a showroom doesn’t want.

NYC All Glass replaced the railing with edge-to-edge frameless tempered glass panels set against the existing black steel stair stringer, so the staircase itself stays the visual anchor while the glass all but disappears. Customers standing at the “Mazda Boutique” display or walking the mezzanine offices keep a clear line of sight to the showroom floor, and the space reads as one continuous, light-filled room instead of two separate levels.

Built for Daily Commercial Traffic

Showroom staircases see constant foot traffic during business hours, so the glass and hardware were specified for durability as much as looks: post-supported tempered panels with a polished stainless cap rail that won’t dull or discolor under daily use, and seams tight enough to keep cleaning simple for the dealership’s facilities team.

Why It Works for a Commercial Showroom

1

Sightlines Stay Open

Frameless glass keeps the showroom floor visible from the mezzanine and the mezzanine visible from the floor, so inventory never disappears behind a railing.

2

Commercial-Grade Durability

Post-supported tempered glass and stainless hardware built to handle heavy daily foot traffic without losing its clean, modern look.

3

Installed Around Business Hours

Fabrication and installation were scheduled to minimize disruption to the dealership’s daily operations and customer traffic.
