Project Overview
NYC All Glass replaced the storefront glazing and entrance canopy at the Gift Pavilion, the retail and visitor-services building on Liberty Island that welcomes millions of visitors a year. The scope included new frameless glass entrance doors, updated storefront glazing along the building’s entrance facade, and a structural glass canopy over the doors — all built to hold up to constant foot traffic and an exposed waterfront site.
Built for a High-Traffic Landmark
With visitor volume among the highest of any retail storefront NYC All Glass services, the entrance doors and glazing hardware were selected for durability under continuous daily use, not just appearance — commercial-grade closers, reinforced framing, and tempered safety glass throughout.
Weather-Resistant Glazing for a Waterfront Site
Liberty Island’s exposure to open water, wind, and salt air calls for corrosion-resistant hardware and a glazing system engineered to perform in a marine environment, which shaped both the material selection and the installation approach for this project.
